Text Box: TIP OF THE DAY Text Box: It appears that we’re all caught up after the holidays and are gearing up to make 2009 a year to remember. This year began with a renewed sense of possibility and a testament to the human spirit. At a time when the entire world is changing financially, environmentally even psychologically, the people of the United States did something that is unheard of. They elected the first African American President of the Country. What an affirmation that change is no longer on the horizon, it’s here.   We’re expanding our horizons too - past the prairies and into a new realm of opportunity. What are your plans this year?     A Framework for Change   Here are some suggestions for planning your next steps. This simple process can be used on a personal or organizational level.     1. Get the team together—brainstorm what’s working and what’s not.   2. Determine the top 3-5 priorities—based on the brainstorming session choose 3-5 issues and opportunities to explore further. Note: try to include both issues and opportunities to balance your efforts and keep morale high.   3. Delegate the research—choose the best fit within or outside of your organization to research the issue or opportunity and shed light on possible approaches.   4. Make the decisions—based on the research make educated decisions on how to move forward on each issue and opportunity.   5. Assign timelines—determine the plan for each decision and allocate a timeframe for completion.   6. Take the leap!     If you need support in developing your framework for change call Karrianne at 951-9803 we can help!  Article courtesy of the Static Interactive Team.
