Text Box: Retiring the Cell Phone for the Holidays

Text Box: With the increasing popularity of cell phones people have become easily accessible anytime anywhere.
There are lots of pros that come along with that and plenty of cons to. The pros are that we can connect with people in an
instant. Over the holidays that may mean being able to catch up spontaneously with friends and family. Or, getting that one piece of information required to buy the final gift on your list.
But, we’ve all experienced the drawback of a ringing cell
interrupting important moments with the people in our lives.
Here’s hoping that over the holidays you get the opportunity to turn off the cell and tune into friends and family!

Text Box: TIP OF THE DAY
Text Box: Today information is a hot commodity that the marketplace
demands faster and more concisely than ever before. Although, print and broadcast media are still effective means of advertising and communication, people are turning to their desktops, laptops, blackberry’s and cell phones more often than not to find what they’re looking for.
One of the most compelling reasons for this shift is that online sources allow us to choose what information comes into our lives. Whether you’re interested in business, purchasing shoes or airline ticket deals, there is a source to keep you informed of new
developments, price reductions, latest trends—you name it, it’s available. By simply subscribing or unsubscribing to what shows up in your inbox, you’re able to weed out what isn’t relevant and pay attention to what is.
From the marketers perspective speed to market is key. With
traditional marketing by the time a concept is developed,
produced and delivered whether in print or broadcast the
marketer could have emailed a database several times over. That’s not to say that there isn’t a place for other media sources, just that in the mix e-marketing is a must for timely delivery of relevant information.
E-newsletters have become so popular because they are dynamic and easily changeable, fast, relevant to the recipient and
interactive. They provide a place to brand your company, share your views, offer discounts and even an immediate call to action through online shopping.
Thinking about developing your own e-newsletter? Here are a few tips for getting started:
1. Ask yourself what you need the newsletter to communicate and what you want to get out of it. We started the FUZE to share information with our contacts and add value to our
relationships.
2. Determine what type of format will work for you. There are many online sources that can be tapped into for data collection and delivery or you may want to go the custom route so that your data is maintained in-house.
3. Whether it’s a quicker source of communication or not, it’s still work. E-newsletters require design and content. Once a
template has been established the design elements are paired down substantially, but coming up with relevant information, whether it’s special offers or articles, requires thinking.
Determine who in or outside of your organization can keep on top of maintaining the newsletter effectively.
If you need help with the planning, development, coordination and/or ongoing management of your e-newsletter email us or call Karrianne at 951-9803 we can help.

Text Box: Holiday Humour
A weary holiday
traveler looked in
disbelief at a bunch of mistletoe hanging above the luggage at the check-in counter. Turning to the attendant he said, "I like your mistletoe. Is it for customers or only personnel?"
"Neither," she said. "It's so you can kiss your luggage
goodbye."
