Text Box: You may have noticed that we avoid paper. If you’ve ever asked us if you can fax us something you probably got this response: “would you be able to email that
instead?”
We promise we’re not trying to be difficult, we’re
actually attempting to be better environmental
stewards.
Did you know that *if one ton of new paper is recycled, savings include:
· 4100 kilowatt hours of energy are conserved
· 850 lbs of carbon dioxide emissions are reduced
· 60 lbs of air pollution are prevented
· 463 gallons of oil are conserved
· 17 trees are saved
· 3 cubic yards of landfill space are saved
· 7000 gallons of water are conserved

That’s if you recycle, so we figure not creating the paper waste is even better. Take the challenge and go paperless!

Text Box: Why Not Conduct Your Next Business Meeting Wearing
Sweatpants?

Text Box: Unless you’re in the fitness industry, that’s just absurd. Imagine what your peers would think of you attempting to command control of the room in a pair of bleached-out, baggy old sweatpants. They may wonder ‘what’s happened to Bob, he must be having problems at home…did he just roll out of bed?’. But, you’re an experienced and intelligent business person, so you might be able to pull it off if you have the floor long enough to shift the group’s attention away from your attire and onto what you have to say - it sure sounds like an uphill battle to us.
Now, imagine walking into the same meeting wearing a well pressed suit. Your peers automatically assume that you have the ability to lead the meeting and that your thoughts are grounded in reality and believable – you’ve instantly achieved credibility.

Your Brand Identity is No Different Than You Are.

Think of your company as though it’s a living, breathing person that goes out into the world representing all of the expectations you want the marketplace to believe about you as uniquely as each of us represents ourselves. Don’t get us wrong, there are successful companies out there who have brand identities that can be equated to sweatpants, luckily they’ve had the floor long enough to
convince their audience they had something worthwhile to say. You don’t have to take that chance.
We’re not trying to say that a brand is all about the pretty package either, it must also effectively communicate what your company stands for and you’re more than just a name, symbol or positioning line, you’re really what’s behind those identifiers. A successful brand is derived from your vision, mission, values, character and unique approach, the culmination of which create your corporate ‘personality’. It’s that personality that helps to foster solid relationships with the marketplace.

Book value + goodwill = market value

So, how valuable is a solid brand? Think of it this way, your company is worth book value without goodwill attached (book value + goodwill = market value). Market value is defined in Dictionary.com as “a good relationship, as of a business enterprise with its customers.”  If your brand can help create and foster more, longer lasting relationships it will ultimately provide you with an incredible return on your investment when it’s time to sell – bet you’d wear a well pressed suit to those
negotiations.

Text Box: A Sales Representative was sitting in the airport's VIP Lounge and Bill Gates was also there, sitting across the room.

The Sales Rep. noticed Gates, walked over to him and said, "Sir, I'm a Sales Representative and I'm waiting here to meet with one of my clients. This client is a very important one and I need to impress him at any cost to close the deal."

"What can I do to help you?" Gates asked.

"When I'm talking with my client, could you just come over, tap me on the shoulder and say, 'Hi, Ray'?" asked the Rep.

"Sure," Gates replied.

A few minutes later, the client arrived. The Sales Rep. and his client were talking when Gates walked over, tapped the Rep. on the shoulder and said, "Hi, Ray."

"Get lost, Gates! I'm in a meeting!" replied the Sales Rep.
