Text Box: Microsoft & Dell Team Up with Red Products

Text Box: Who says the big mega-companies can’t help give back and make a difference in the world? For as much as we complain about the Microsoft’s and Dell’s of the world and how they ‘take’ our money, they can sure accomplish good things if they set their minds to it.
Near the end of January Dell, Microsoft and Bono announced that you may now buy a ‘RED’ Dell computer with ‘RED’ Vista loaded onto it. The ‘RED’ product line was introduced in 2006 by Bono who teamed up with a number of varied, big businesses to create
products consumers could buy with a significant portion of the funds being donated toward eliminating the AIDS epidemic in
Africa. “To date, (RED) partners have contributed more than $57 million to the Global Fund based on the sale of (PRODUCT) RED products.”
You might want to think ‘RED’ next time you need to upgrade.

Text Box: TIP OF THE DAY
Text Box: Last year we talked about the ‘stickiness’ factor for your
website. To refresh your memory, stickiness is a term used in web development that refers to how reusable a website is for its users. Or, how likely users are to return after the first visit.
Web developers and marketers have been developing games and fun applications for users to entice them back and keep the company’s name top of mind. Did you see or even ‘Elf Yourself’ last holiday season? Couldn’t even hazard a guess how many people would have uploaded their faces onto the dancing elves provided by OfficeMax.com but you can bet it was substantial. Games and fun things work on a short term basis and
encourage referral of your site.
Another option is to provide an experience that is relevant and helpful to the user. Aligned with your own delivery of services this combination can make your site a force to be reckoned with and your operation client-centric.
Here are a few examples that you’ve seen online of how you can optimize the delivery mechanism of your site—can some or all of them apply in your situation?
· Provide a way for users to know what products/services you have in stock. By services we mean blocks of time—which works well for self-serve booking of appointments. The beauty of a system created as an internal tool that is
published live in real time is that it is carefully monitored and kept up-to-date.
· Sell your products and services online. Prepayment online for services or actual buy/sell functionality can reduce wait time and fulfill needs faster.
· Answer questions virtually. Blogs and Forums are a great way to be able to answer questions and open up the
dialogue between you and your clients.
· Provide online forms for clients to fill in and save time when working with you.
All of the above can achieve win-win situations by making
internal procedure smoother and the experience for your clients more enjoyable—maybe even seamless.

functionality of your website and would like help, call Karrianne at 951-9803 or email us, we can help.

Text Box: American Tourist in Manitoba
An American tourist
was driving through
Teulon, MB when his
motor stopped. He got out to see if he could locate the
trouble. A voice behind him said,
 "The trouble is the carburetor."
He turned around and only saw an old horse. The horse said again,
"It's the carburetor that's not working."
The American nearly died with fright, and dashed into the nearest pub, ordered a scotch, and told Frank the bartender what the horse had said to him.
Frank said, "Well, don't pay any attention to him, he knows nothing about cars anyway."
