Marketing Case Study - Safety/Construction Industry
This case study was written by one of our clients who invented and produced a revolutionary safety product in the construction industry.
Situation:
As a company that had just completed one year of R&D and patent
work to create our product, the push to commercialize was
extremely strong. With only one individual tasked with launching
the product, a whole host of marketing challenges faced us. The
first challenge was developing the branding requirements that
would encompass all of the marketing communications, including
letterhead, brochures, business cards, web site and tradeshow
booth design. In addition to having to deal with all of these
requirements, we were tasked with completing our brand ,
printing marketing materials, producing giveaway items and being
the lead sponsor at a major tradeshow with a 1000 square foot
booth and all the graphics and related tradeshow paraphernalia.
We had a tight timeframe to work within and needed to be ready
in two months.
Solutions:

Branding and Foundation Pieces
We engaged Static to help us with
our fist challenge, branding. We had an existing logo for our
product. Static provided multiple versions of letterhead, a
PowerPoint presentation, sample brochures, business cards and
other items within a few days. Once we selected our final brand,
Static began executing on a variety of fronts for us. They began
working closely with us to develop our website. As we
supplied raw content, Static would format and post the data
quickly. We completed a comprehensive web site that was
professional and to our specifications in four weeks.
In tandem to the web site development, Static managed the
procurement of our print materials including letterhead,
business cards and other miscellaneous business forms.

Event Planning and Coordination
While this was all going on, Static also became a liaison with
our tradeshow vendor. Static provided graphics and imagery
required by the tradeshow company, using our previously
developed branding. They also assisted us on an ad hoc basis
with the tradeshow organizer making sure all logistics were in
place.
Part of being a major tradeshow sponsor included providing tradeshow giveaways. Static provided us with many samples of various giveaway items for us to select from. Once we isolated what we wanted, Static became our liaison with the vendor providing them with graphics and branding information and ensuring the production and timelines were met.
Results:
During this hectic start-up product commercialization period, we were engaged with Static on almost a daily basis for three months. With our limited management resources, we only had time to work on our content. Static stepped up and provided all branding and formatting work, launched our web site, liaised with suppliers for things such as business forms, tradeshow giveaway items, tradeshow booth graphics, shipping and other logistics support in an extremely tight timeline.
The fact that Static
was able to provide professional management services, graphics and
corporate branding services, web site development services and
logistics assistance was a godsend. Instead of having to deal with
possibly up to six different vendors, we only had to interact with
one. We met all of our deadlines and were able to launch our product
in an extremely professional manner.
